Update on Essex Music Festival in Essex, Massachusetts: In the aftermath of our second hurricane cancellation in 3 years (Hurricane Danny 2009 and Hurricane Irene 2011), the Essex Music Festival will not be held this year. The festival is in need of reorganization and funding, to continue as an event to benefit the restoration of Centennial Grove. We hope to see you in 2013!
Until then, be sure to keep Essex in your travel plans. Essex has many antique, fine art and specialty shops, restaurants (with live music!) and maritime activities to enjoy. Route 133 through the center of town is a brand new roadway and riverside sidewalks offer spectacular views of the Great Marsh. Free parking too!
